A seemingly innocent Valentine’s Day Instagram post from Vanessa Hudgens has led authorities to investigate whether or not she and boyfriend Austin Butler damaged a natural feature on U.S. Forest Service land in Sedona, Arizona.

Hudgens posted a photo of herself and Butler in the Red Rock Ranger District, as well as a rock with their names carved inside of a heart, which she has since deleted.

According to The AP, the post was seen by the land’s managers at the Coconino National Forest, who notified authorities. Its spokesman Brady Smith said on Feb. 16 the case is currently under investigation.

TMZ reports there’s a federal law in place that prohibits "damaging natural surfaces or property of the United States."

Butler and Hudgens, who recently performed in Grease: Live as Rizzo, could see a maximum punishment of six months in jail and up to $5,000 in fines.
