The Voice coach Adam Levine took to Instagram Monday, Feb.22 to post a picture of his completed back tattoo that took six months to finish.

The tattoo takes up Levine's entire back and was done by artist Bryan Randolph of Spider Murphy's in San Francisco. The singer's newest ink features a mermaid with wings clutching a skull by her chest with the sun setting behind her.

Levine wasn't the only one to post a picture of his new ink. His wife, Behati Prinslo, put up a nice black and white shot of her husband's healing back.

The "Maps" singer uploaded a picture of the tattoo being started back in November when it was just a solo mermaid.
