50 Cent filed for bankruptcy last year, so his Instagram photos featuring piles of cash have confused Judge Ann M. Nevins, who summoned him to court to explain himself.

The rapper, real name Curtis Jackson, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in July 2015. However, judging by his social media pages, he seems to be doing just fine financially.

In recent months, 50 Cent has posted several photos of himself with large amounts of cash. As a result, Judge Nevins told his attorney in court on Feb. 18, "I'm concerned about allegations of nondisclosure or a lack of transparency in the case."

Wall Street Journal reports she also said, “There’s a purpose of having a bankruptcy process be transparent, and part of that purpose is to inspire confidence in the process.”

The Instagram photos were reported by Lastonia Leviston, who won a lawsuit against 50 Cent last year for his part in posting her sex tape online. She won a $7 million settlement, but hasn’t been paid due to the rapper filing for bankruptcy.

Leviston was joined by two other groups 50 Cent owes money to, who want the rapper’s money managed professionally until he pays off his settlements.

In response, the Get Rich or Die Tryin’ rapper’s attorney said the three parties “intentionally ignore that [Mr. Jackson] is in the entertainment and promotion business and must maintain his brand and image (or those of the products he is promoting).”
