Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders’ Saturday Night Live cameo has been spoiled. The Democratic presidential candidate will collide with comedian Larry David.
A source told The Washington Post that Sanders is flying to New York Saturday from New Hampshire, where he has been campaigning non-stop before the primary on Feb. 9.
David, who co-created Seinfeld, is making his SNL hosting debut, although he was a writer for the show briefly in the ‘80s. He played Sanders on the show in October and Sanders even joked that he is Larry David. The two look and sound eerily similar, so no one knows what might happen when the two meet on the same stage.
Sanders nearly tied Hillary Clinton in Iowa earlier this week, although Clinton was awarded the victory. Clinton also previously appeared on SNL this season, as did Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, who hosted a whole episode.
The 1975 are the musical guests for this weekend’s show.
