Bruce Springsteen will get to tell his own story in an autobiography, which will be out in September. The book shares a title with his most popular song and one of his best albums, Born To Run.

Simon & Schuster announced that the book will be available on Sept. 27 in the U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia and India. The rights have already been sold to publishers in nine other countries.

Sources told The New York Post that Simon & Schuster paid Springsteen a $10 million advance. It sounds like The Boss has finished the book though, as he started writing it in 2009.

“Writing about yourself is a funny business,” Springsteen writes in the book. “But in a project like this, the writer has made one promise, to show the reader his mind. In these pages, I’ve tried to do this.”

Simon & Schuster also published Outlaw Pete, an illustrated book with Frank Caruso, in 2014.

Springsteen's latest album is 2014’s High Hopes. He is currently touring with The E Street Band to promote The Ties That Bind, a massive box set of material from 1980’s The River.
