If you had a hankering for Thin Mints or Samoas, the Oscars ceremony was the place to be.
Comedian and host Chris Rock made his daughters' Girl Scout troop over $65,000 richer by selling cookies during the awards ceremony. “I want you to reach into your millionaire pockets and buy some of my daughters’ Girl Scout cookies,” Rock said.
This isn't the first time that an Oscars host has offered attendees food during the ceremony. Ellen DeGeneres ordered a pizza for ceremony goers when she took her turn as host in 2014 collecting money for the pizzas in Pharrell Williams' hat. Among the stars who patronized Rock's girls were Mindy Kaling, Michael Keaton and Kate Winslet. Kaling even tweeted about her purchase of a box of Samoas!

Other things we learned from what might be the smartest business move in Oscars history: Christian Bale likes Thin Mints and John Legend knows how to make his pregnant wife Chrissy Teigen happy, with cookies of course!
