Fox has just ordered the pilot for an upcoming comedy starring Courteney Cox.

Charity Case, a single-camera comedy from The Office producer Robert Padnick, has been given a green light at Fox, according to Deadline. Cox's involvement with the project was announced last month, as we previously reported, but now the deal with the network has been made official.

In Charity Case, Cox will star as Hailey, a woman who inherits the charity of her late billionaire husband, only to find out that changing the world isn't quite as glamorous as she thought. James Griffiths (Episodes, Up All Night) will direct the pilot, and Cox herself serves as executive producer.

This is yet another piece of good news for Friends fans, as members of the cast have been landing major roles left and right in the past few months. We recently reported that Matt LeBlanc will star in a new CBS comedy called I’m Not Your Friend in addition to hosting Top Gear. David Schwimmer is keeping himself busy playing Robert Kardashian on American Crime Story and he also just signed on to the new AMC show Feed the Beast. Matthew Perry currently appears on The Odd Couple, which returns for a second season in April and after starring in The Comeback, Lisa Kudrow is reportedly fielding pilot offers.

We'll see the cast of Friends (minus Matthew Perry) reunite later this month in an NBC special, Must See TV: An All-Star Tribute to James Burrows. Check out your first teaser for this "reunion" here.
