London commuters got a special surprise from singer Elton John, who decided to give an impromptu performance at St. Pancras International Station on Feb. 4.

John had a piano set up in the train station and only played for a few minutes, reports The Press Association. However, it was long enough for commuters to notice, so many stopped to listen and take photos. Some also posted videos on social media.

The 68-year-old posted a picture of the scene on Instagram, writing, “Surprise!! I popped into St Pancras International to christen the Yamaha piano which I donated to the station. Now everyone can have a play.”

He also signed the piano. “My gift is my song and this piano’s for you,” he wrote in another Instagram post, quoting his song “Your Song.”

Of course, this stunt had to be timed with the release of something and that turns out to be his new album, Wonderful Crazy Night. The record hits stores today and is his 32nd studio album. He’s also heading out on tour and plays in Paris tonight. The U.S. leg of the tour starts in March.
