Erin Andrews’ emotions got the best of her in court this week.
According to the New York Post, Andrews broke down in tears on the witness stand on Feb. 29. The ESPN anchor is suing a Nashville Marriott Hotel for negligence after Michael Barrett created a peephole to spy on her in her hotel room. Barrett was sentenced to two and a half years in prison.
“I saw it for 2 seconds, and I thought, ‘Oh, my God,’ and I shut it down, and I said I have to call you back,” Andrews explained. “And I called my parents. I was just screaming.”
Andrews continued to recall the conversation she had with her father after she saw the tape.
“And I said I was naked all over the Internet. I didn’t know where it was,” Andrews said. “I said, ‘Dad! I’m naked all over the Internet. I don’t know what it is! I don’t know where I am!’ I even got a call from the hotel asking if everything was OK because I was screaming so loud.”
Andrews’ mom also took the stand and explained her daughter’s devastation.
“She’s got a short temper,” Paula Andrews said. “She can fly into a meltdown. You never know what’s going to trigger it… She’s been humiliated, and the humiliation continues.”
