Would Leonardo DiCaprio’s Jack have survived at the end of Titanic if Kate Winslet’s Rose let him get on the door? Even Winslet thinks he could have.

While on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night, the Oscar winner said that she thinks Jack could have fit on that door with Rose. Kimmel told Winslet that people were freaking out about seeing her sit so close to DiCaprio at the Golden Globes, even though “you let him freeze to death in the water!”

Winslet agreed. “You know, I think he actually could have fit on the door,” she said.

Kimmel insisted that there was plenty of room on the raft, but he didn’t have to argue with Winslet, who agreed with everything he said.

“People are always so excited to see Leo and myself in the same space, which, you know... at the end of the day, that’s so lovely isn’t it?” she said. “It’s been 20 years and people still get such a kick out of it. It’s really quite... endearing.”

Winslet won an Oscar for The Reader and was nominated again for Best Supporting Actress for Steve Jobs this year.

For the record, Mythbusters did prove that both Jack and Rose could have survived on the door.
