The 2016 Westminster Dog Show was held on Feb. 16 and a new pooch was crowned top dog.
The latest dog to take home the Best in Show prize at the event was a 3-year-old male German Shorthaired Pointer named California Journey.
FoxNews.com noted that CJ was third winner of the breed which last took the top prize when his grandmother, Carlee, won back in 2005.
When the winner was announced German shepherd handler Kent Boyles heard "German" and the "sh" and actually began stepping forward before judge Dr. Richard Meen finished his second word.
CJ also beat out a Skye terrier, bulldog, shih tzu and Samoyed. In total he won over 2,751 other entries in 199 breeds.
"It's exactly like what I imagined," co-owner, breeder, and handler Valerie Nunes-Atkinson said.
Earlier in the evening CJ won the sporting group, while the Skye terrier Charlie won in the terrier group; the Samoyed, named Bogey, won in the working group; the bulldog Annabelle won in the non-sporting group; Rumor, the German shepherd, won in the herding group and the shih tzu named Panda won in the toy group.
