It appears that Zayn Malik soon won’t be the only (former) One Direction band member to have a solo career, with signs pointing to Harry Styles heading down the same path soon. Styles has parted ways with the band’s management team, Modest Management, and has signed with CAA’s Jeffrey Azoff.
In a statement, Modest Management executives Richard Griffiths and Harry Magee confirmed Styles’ career move.
“We wish Harry the very best. It has been a real pleasure working with him," Griffiths and Magee told Billboard. "Harry is a total gentleman, and we know our good friend Jeffrey Azoff will look after him. We look forward to sharing some great wine with them next time we are in L.A."
It’s long been rumored that Styles has his sights set on a solo career. A source even told The Sun, “His new team will be about launching him as a solo superstar by around this time next year so the work is starting now.”
With this news, it’s looking more and more like One Direction’s upcoming hiatus will turn into a split.
