The Joker loved to make sick jokes, and Jared Leto, the latest actor to play the Batman villain, does too. While filming Suicide Squad, he sent his castmates a dead pig, according to Viola Davis.

The How To Get Away With Murder actress, who plays Amanda Waller in the film, told Vanity Fair about Leto’s sick joke.

“He did some bad things, Jared Leto did. He gave some really horrific gifts,” Davis said.

The actress said that Leto had a henchman who came into their rehearsal room with a big dead pig and dropped it on the table, then left. “And that was our introduction into Jared Leto,” she said.

“Now I’m terrified just as a person... is he crazy? But the second part was, ‘Oh sh*t, I better have my stuff together,” she added.

Davis was really impressed with Leto’s commitment to the part.

The dead pig wasn’t the only weird gift Leto had for the Suicide Squad team. Over the summer, co-star Adam Beach said that he sent Margot Robbie a black rat. Davis confirmed that story in the Vanity Fair interview.

Leto is the third actor to play The Joker, following Heath Ledger’s Oscar-winning performance in The Dark Knight and Jack Nicholson in the 1989 Batman movie.

Suicide Squad hits theaters on Aug. 5.
