If you're looking for a bargain, then J.C. Penney is going to have some great deals soon, including selling merchandise for one cent.
On Feb. 25, the retailer announced its new marketing campaign called “Get Your Penney’s Worth,” which will introduce “Penney Days” and will extend to jcp.com, as well.
How it works is that consumers can purchase one regular priced Arizona brand apparel or accessory item and get another for a penny.
The campaign will begin on Sunday, Feb. 28, as J.C. Penney looks for ways to drive more traffic, especially that of the “Modern American Mom,” to its department stores.
"We know our customers live very busy lives and we want every trip and interaction at J.C. Penney to be worth her time, her hard-earned money and her effort," Mary Beth West, chief customer and marketing officer of the company, said in a statement.
The first “Penney Days” will last for one week, and some upcoming “Penny Days” will allow customers to buy products for just one cent without purchasing additional regular priced items.
