Universal is pulling out all the stops to make sure stars are joining the new monsters universe. After getting Tom Cruise for The Mummy, the studio got Johnny Depp for The Invisible Man.

The news was first reported by Deadline, which could not confirm who is writing the film. However, Alex Kurtzman and Chris Morgan, who are overseeing the Universal Monsters universe, are producing.

The Invisible Man will be based on the H.G. Wells novel about a scientist who finds a way to make himself invisible, while also driving himself insane. The novel was first adapted by the studio in 1933 and was directed by James Whale, who also helmed Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein. Claude Rains made his American film debut in the title role, figuring out how to scare audiences who were never actually able to see him.

The Universal Monsters Universe will reboot with The Mummy, which will star Cruise and is set in the modern day. It will hit theaters on June 9, 2017.

The studio also plans on bringing back the other famous monsters, including Frankenstein’s Monster, Dracula, The Wolf Man and The Creature From The Black Lagoon.

Depp will next be seen in Alice Through The Looking Glass on May 27.
