Throughout the course of his career in the public eye, Justin Bieber has had quite a few things to say "Sorry" for. His latest chart-topping single has not been one of them, and neither is a new video of Hollywood stars dramatically reading the song's lyrics.
Inspired by a W video, in which 13 celebrities read and sang lyrics from Drake's "Hotline Bling," the "Sorry" video from Vanity Fair features 29 notables from TV, film and music alike offering their interpretations of the chart-topping Bieber hit. The stars in the video includde Jon Hamm, John Legend, Maya Rudolph and Chelsea Handler. Interpretations of Bieber's lyrics range from melodramatic to wry to sincere surprise, with some stars clearly reading the lyrics for the first time during the video.
As we reported, Bieber recently commented on his much-speculated relationship with Hailey Baldwin in a cover story for GQ. When asked about "Sorry," the singer disclosed that the single was in no way supposed to represent an atonement to the public for his previous wrongdoings. "It was about a girl," he said of the song.
