Katy Perry has confirmed she has invited Taylor Swift to her pre-Grammys party, An Evening to Celebrate the Creators, despite their feud.
The party will be held on Saturday, Feb. 13, ahead of Monday’s big event. Although Perry won’t be attending the Grammys this year, she looks forward to starting a new tradition.
The party invite will only be extended to artists, producers and songwriters; so no publicists, journalists, or press in general.
“Artists are always looking for a way to connect with each other, but we don’t get that authentic connection because we’re either being pulled or pushed,” she told New York Times.
With Spotify being a sponsor for the event, she’s invited singers from the Spotify Discover playlist. Although that doesn’t include Swift, she did extend an invite to the “Wildest Dreams” singer and Adele.
“It’s just up to their schedules," she said.
Perry and Swift’s feud started in 2014 when Swift released her song “Bad Blood,” which is about Perry. Perry then reignited it in July 2015 when she got involved in Swift’s short-lived feud with Nicki Minaj.
