Kesha has responded to the recent outpouring of support she has received from fans and fellow artists after the court ruled in Sony and Dr. Luke’s favor last week.
The “Tik Tok” singer broke her silence on Instagram, and said she would be following up with a larger statement soon.
After a judge ruled on Feb. 19 that Kesha would have to keep making music with Sony and producer Dr. Luke, who she has accused of drugging and raping her, singers like Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift have supported her.
Lovato stood by her in a series of tweets about women empowerment, and Swift donated $250,000 to assist with her legal case. Jack Antonoff even offered to make music with her and “leak” it if her label really won’t promote music she doesn’t make with Dr. Luke, like she has claimed.
Meanwhile, Dr. Luke has denied all allegations against him and has asked fans to consider the deposition she gave in 2011, which TMZ has obtained, during which she states he did not sexually assault or rape her. Her legal team claims she only said that because he was extorting her.
