Congrats are in order for Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley and his wife, Cassie, who welcomed a baby boy on Thursday.
The happy couple broke the news on their Womanista website and shared a pic. of the newborn.
“We can’t stop staring at him and he hasn’t stopped chitchatting with us since he arrived,” the proud parents said of their son. “He’s got momma’s nose and daddy’s eyes and vocal chords and a full head of blond hair.”
Kelley and his wife also revealed that the baby’s name is Ward, and he weighed in at 7 lb. 9 oz. and is 20 inches long.
This is the first child for the Kelleys. As we previously reported, they were more than overjoyed last summer when they announced that Cassie was finally pregnant after having struggled with fertility issues for years.
“Thanks for all the love everyone. Cassie and I couldn’t be more fired up to have our first baby. just hope he or she gets my wife’s looks ha,” Charles tweeted at the time.
