Leonardo DiCaprio has found his next role already. The actor will star in Conquest for Paramount.
The studio acquired the package on Feb. 6, Deadline reported. Although it is not known what the film is about, it was written by Mark L. Smith, who co-wrote The Revenant with director Alejandro G. Inarritu.
Paramount previously worked with DiCaprio on The Wolf of Wall Street and Shutter Island, both directed by Martin Scorsese. The studio is also working on DiCaprio’s next collaboration with Scorsese, The Devil In The White City. That film is a 19th Century serial killer story that Billy Ray is adapting from the nonfiction Erik Larson book.
DiCaprio has already won a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award for his work in The Revenant. He was also nominated for an Oscar and is expected by many to win.
Smith is currently working on several other projects, including Warner Bros.’ Ruthless, which is another script that DiCaprio is interested in, Deadline reports. He is also writing Ghost Recon, which Michael Bay is directing.
