One week after Martin Shkreli made a video directed at and threatening Wu-Tang Clan artist Ghostface Killah, the former CEO of Turing Pharmaceuticals is backpedaling, well sort of.
Shkreli appeared on The Breakfast Club Power 105.1 on Feb. 3 and said that he has respect for the rapper and that the video diss was a mix of ‘satire and reality.’
“He disrespected me,” Shkreli said. “He called me a ‘shithead,’ I believe … At the end of the day, it definitely felt like the guy was taking shots at me. In the Hip Hop game, as we all know, it’s not easy to be on the receiving end of those things without jumping back … It’s not even a Hip Hop thing, it’s a man thing. You take shots at me, I’m gonna come back at you. Especially publicly… It’s meant to be a mix of satire and a mix of reality. I have goons for real.”
As we previously reported, TMZ obtained a 2:18 video clip of Shkreli threatening Ghostface Killah as three masked men stood next to him.
Shkreli did keep the feud going Wednesday by issuing another threat while on the radio show, “If he was here right now, I’d f–kin’ smack him in the face,” he said of Ghostface, adding later, “I’m from the streets.”
