If Joe Manganiello showed up at your place of work to convince you to enjoy life and have an adventure, would you? That’s the question Pee-wee Herman faces in the first trailer for Pee-wee’s Big Holiday.
The new film, which is produced by Judd Apatow, finds Paul Rubens’ famous character going out of his comfort zone to travel the country and have new experiences. Manganiello is the mysterious stranger who shows up at Pee-wee’s ice cream shop to convince him to go on an adventure. Of course, the Magic Mike XXL star isn’t going on the adventure with him, leaving Pee-wee to learn from his mistakes himself.
Big Holiday is the third Pee-wee movie and the first since 1988. The film was directed by Broad City director John Lee and hits Netflix on March 18. It is also set to be screened at SXSW.
