Sean Lennon, the son of Yoko Ono and the late John Lennon, updated fans on his mother’s health after there were reports that she was hospitalized overnight. Thankfully, Lennon had some positive words.
As previously reported, the 83-year-old Ono was rushed to Mount Sinai West Hospital in New York just after 9 p.m. on Feb. 26. It was first reported that Ono had suffered a stroke, but her publicist later confirmed that she just had flu-like symptoms and would likely be released today.
Lennon also took to Twitter to assure fans that Ono did not suffer a stroke, adding that she was dehydrated and tired. “She is FINE. Thank you everyone for your concern,” he wrote.
In another message, Lennon wrote, “Only stroke @yokoono had was a Stroke of Genius! 🙂 She’s really fine. Thanks for all the well wishes! Big Love, Sean.”
Ono has never been one to relax and is constantly busy. Last month, she released a new remix album called Yes, I’m A Witch Too and released her most recent studio album in 2013. She also still creates works of art and is active on social media. Her official Twitter account re-tweeted her son’s messages.
