A year and a half after it happened, U.K. authorities will prosecute the Disney production company that worked on Star Wars: The Force Awakens because of Harrison Ford’s on-set injury.
Back in June 2014, Ford, 73, suffered an ankle injury after being hit by hydraulic door on the Millennium Falcon set at Pinewood Studios. Filming was stopped while Ford recovered and didn’t resume until late August. The Force Awakens still came out on time in December 2015.
The U.K. Health and Safety Executive announced today that it will charge Disney’s Foodles Production U.K. Ltd., reports The BBC. The four charges relate to health and safety violations.
“By law, employers must take reasonable steps to protect workers - this is as true on a film set as a factory floor,” an HSE spokesperson told the BBC.
According to the The Associated Press, the first court hearing is set for May.
The Force Awakens has grossed over $2 billion worldwide since its Dec. 18 release. Disney is already filming Episode VIII.
