Terry Crews opens up about his pornography addiction: ‘It really, really messed up my life’

In a series of videos on Facebook, actor and former NFL player Terry Crews spoke directly to his fans about a very sensitive subject: his addiction to pornography.

The Brooklyn Nine-Nine star, who became famous thanks to his Old Spice commercials, has admitted in the past that he has faced a sex and porn addiction. But his Facebook videos are much more direct and emotional and have been posted under the title “Dirty Little Secret.” He has posted three videos in the series so far.

“Pornography… it really, really messed up my life in a lot of ways,” Crews says in the first video. He said that by keeping it a secret, it only got worse. Eventually, he went to rehab to battle the addiction.

“Some people deny it and say, ‘Hey man, you know, you can’t really be addicted to pornography. There’s no way.’ But I’m gonna tell you something, if day turns into night, and you are still watching… you probably have a problem,” Crews said. “And that was me.”

In the second part of “Dirty Little Secret,” Crews explained how he beat his addiction. He admitted to going to therapy and the importance of being aware.

In part three, which was posted on Feb. 23, Crews further explained what he did to beat the addiction.
