Though many of this year's Best Picture Oscar nominees are male-dominated films, Vanity Fair has decided that men should step aside for its 2016 Hollywood cover, which features 13 of cinema's leading ladies. On Monday, Vanity Fair shared the 3-page cover of its 2016 Hollywood Portfolio issue via Instagram.
The cover depicts the 13 women, all wearing some incarnation of "the little black dress." The group photo and other images from the issue, which were shot by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz, feature women of every age, from Oscar winners Jennifer Lawrence, 25, Lupita N'yongo, 32, and Viola Davis, 50, to Diane Keaton, 70, Helen Mirren, 70, and Jane Fonda, 78.
Notable Hollywood newcomers to the A-List this year include Brie Larson (Trainwreck; Room) and Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Beyond the Lights), who are also featured.
