Actor Woody Harrelson, who is also an advocate for marijuana, has applied to open a medical marijuana dispensary.

The Hawaii Department of Health revealed the list of 66 applicants for marijuana dispensaries on its website on Feb. 5. Only eight will be awarded first, including three in Honolulu and Honolulu County; two each in Hawaii and Maui Counties; and one in Kauai County. Harrelson’s Simple Organic Living applied for a dispensary in Honolulu County.

The DOH will announce the approved applicants on April 15 and they can start selling medical marijuana on July 15.

According to the Associated Press, the selected applicants must have $1 million in cash before applying and another $100,000 for each location they plan to open. They must also have been Hawaii residents for over five years.

Harrelson isn’t the only celebrity to apply for a license. Tetris creator Henk Rogers, who lives in a solar-powered home in the state, applied for one under his company Blue Planet Foundation.

Although Hawaii became the first state to legalize medical marijuana 16 years ago, it wasn’t until last year that the state passed a bill to allow for medical marijuana dispensaries.

Harrelson’s recent credits include Zombieland, The Hunger Games, Now You See Me and the first season of True Detective.
