Yoko Ono, widow of former Beatle John Lennon, was hospitalized in New York on Feb. 26.

Ono, 83, was taken by ambulance to Mount Sinai West Hospital at approximately 9:05 p.m. from her home in the Upper West Side, according to Rolling Stone. The hospital  was formerly St. Luke's West, the same hospital where her husband, John Lennon, was pronounced dead after being shot in 1980.

Early on, police told CBS2 that Ono had possibly suffered a stroke. CBS2 also reports that Ono was unconscious when she arrived at the hospital. However, publicist Elliot Mintz said that Ono had simply been suffering from flu-like symptoms and had been urged by her doctor to go to a hospital to get checked. Mintz says Ono will likely be released on Saturday.

"There is no stroke and there are no life-threatening circumstances as has been described to me," Mintz said.

Ono celebrated her 83rd birthday earlier this month and also released an album of remixes titled Yes,  I'm a Witch, Too and opened a museum exhibit, "Land of Hope," in Mexico City's Memory and Tolerance Museum.
