Looks like Adele's tour schedule just got even more packed.

The singer recently announced that she will headline a high-profile event. On March 18, the BBC reported that during a show on her tour in London, Adele revealed that she will be the Saturday night headliner for the U.K.'s Glastonbury festival. The festival will take place from June 22-26.

While her headliner status might come as a surprise to fans, the gig is one that Adele claims she booked a rather long time ago. She even hinted that her own anticipation for the event has been kept tightly under wraps for quite some time. "I've had to keep that secret for years!" she said after the announcement.

When Adele is not busy performing on tour or announcing future gigs, she serves as the inspiration for quite a rather unexpected performance. As we reported, a convicted felon recently used the melody of Adele's hit, "Hello," to apologize for his crimes during his trial.
