Adele tweeted an apology when she received word that a fan at her concert last week was taken to the hospital after a chain from the production rigging fell into the audience.

The Associated Press noted that the incident occurred on March 25 while Adele was performing at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland. The fan, reportedly a female, was hit by the chain and began bleeding. Personnel got her out of the crowd and she was then taken to the hospital.

The “Hello” songstress was not made aware of what had happened until after her show. She then took to Twitter and wrote, "I'm so sorry to hear that someone got hurt at my show tonight. It's being investigated to ensure it won't happen again."

After the incident a spokesperson for the venue told the Canadian Journal that “The [chain] came down and hit one person who was taken to hospital as a precaution. We are liaising with the production crew to ascertain what happened. This is all we know at this stage.”

Also last week, while performing in London, Adele spoke to concertgoers about the pressure to breastfeed babies.

She called the pressures “f**king ridiculous.”
