Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder can’t stop talking about his movie and has continued to do so even though the movie comes out in a week. In his latest interview, he gave even more details of the R-rated version that will appear on home video.

News of the R-rated version broke in late February when an MPAA bulletin listed an ultimate cut of the film that is “rated R for sequences of violence.” It was also revealed by Snyder earlier this month that all scenes with a mysterious character played by Jena Malone were cut from the theatrical film but would be included in the ultimate cut.

While speaking with The Hollywood Reporter in an interview with his wife, producer Deborah Snyder, published today, the director revealed that the R-rated version is 30 minutes longer. That means that the new cut will be at least three hours, since the theatrical PG-13 movie will be 151 minutes. Snyder also insisted that it is not a “hard R.”

“There's no nudity. There's a little bit of violence. It just tips the scale,” Snyder said.

Deborah Snyder also shot down criticism from some who thought that the R-rated cut is only happening because Deadpool was such a success. She said that the R-rated version was finished long before Deadpool broke box office records last month.

“Online, everyone's like, ‘Oh, they're doing an R-rated in reaction to Deadpool,’ and you're like (laughing), ‘We didn't just shoot it last week, and we also didn't edit it last week,’” Deborah Snyder told THR.

The short - if you can call 151 minutes ‘short’ - version of Batman v Superman hits theaters on March 25. It stars Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill as Superman.
