If you are a Starbucks customer who is unhappy with the change to its loyalty program, then Dunkin’ Donuts wants your business and is offering incentives for the switch.

Reuters noted that Starbucks changed its rewards program last month to cater to consumers who spend a bit more at the coffee shop, and Dunkin’ Donuts is hoping to capitalize on those who did not benefit from the change.

Under the new program customers need to spend $62.50 to receive one beverage reward, compared with just $40 under Dunkin' Donuts' loyalty program.

"We feel excited about the change to Starbucks' loyalty program," said Nigel Travis, chief executive of Dunkin' Brands Group Inc.

"We've been targeting customers with $5 gift cards,” he added.

Travis did not say whether business has actually risen or not yet, but some of Starbucks' clientele are certainly not happy with the change.

YouGov reported that after Starbucks announced the change on Feb. 22, its Buzz score with current customers fell from 60 to 29 over the course of a few days.
