Ghosts are back in New York City and it’s up to a new team of Ghostbusters to save the day. The first trailer for Sony’s Ghostbusters reboot is finally here.
The trailer does confirm that this is set in a world where the events of the first two Ghostbusters movies really did happen. Ghosts have come back and it looks like there’s more than just a couple for the new team to deal with.
The new team is made up of Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy and Saturday Night Live castmembers Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones. Chris Hemsworth is also playing their secretary, although he only has one brief scene in the trailer.
Paul Feig (The Heat, Bridesmaids, Spy) directed the movie with a script by Katie Dippold and Feig. Dan Aykroyd and Bill Murray are both expected to have cameos in the new movie.
Ghostbusters opens on July 15.
