Whether it’s special powers or miracles, the unexplainable and unbelievable take on the box office competition this weekend.  The third film in the Divergent Series is one of these new films entering theaters.

Tris and Four venture into dangerous territory in The Divergent Series: Allegiant. Leaving their family and all they know behind, they become entrenched in an intense battle that puts the existence of human kind on the line.  The PG-13 sci-fi adventure stars Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Octavia Spencer, Naomi Watts, Jeff Daniels, Ray Stevenson, Zoe Kravitz, Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort, Maggie Q and Mekhi Phifer.  The two hour and one minute action film is available in conventional and IMAX theaters.

The parents of a young girl are told that their daughter has an incurable disease in Miracles from HeavenJust when they think almost all hope is lost in finding a cure for their little girl, the nearly impossible, almost inexpiable happens following a fall from a tree.  The PG, one hour and 49-minute family drama stars Jennifer Garner, Kylie Rogers, Martin Henderson and Queen Latifah.

A young boy has exceptional powers in Midnight SpecialWhen his abilities start to become public knowledge, his father takes him on the road in an attempt to hide and protect him from the religious radicals, cops and the government enforcers out to get him. Kirsten Dunst, Michael Shannon, Joel Edgerton, Adam Driver, Jaeden Lieberher and Sam Shepard star in the PG-13 sci-fi film.  The drama unfolds in one hour and 51 minutes.

A former Olympic gymnast lives on her childhood fame in The BronzeWhen an up and coming gymnast starts to shine in her hometown, she must decide whether or not she’s willing to relinquish her celebrity for some cash by helping the young woman’s dreams come true. The Big Bang Theory’s Melissa Rauch stars in the sports comedy alongside Gary Cole, Thomas Middleditch, Sebastian Stan, Hailey Lu Richardson and Cecily Strong.  The one hour and 48-minute, limited released film is rated R for sex, nudity, language and drugs.

A woman reconnects with her estranged family in KrishaThe Thanksgiving family reunion stirs up animosity as old secrets and feelings are brought to light.  The drama runs in limited theaters for one hour and 23 minutes.  It’s rated R for language, drugs and sex.
