The Weeknd will no longer tour with Rihanna during her Anti World Tour in Europe. It looks like he will be too busy to travel with the fellow singer.

“Due to some unforeseen changes with upcoming projects, The Weeknd will no longer be joining Rihanna on her upcoming international Anti World Tour,” Live Nation said in a statement to Billboard.

A source told the site that The Weeknd, whose real name is Abęl Makkonen Tesfaye, “hit a stride on his new album” and did not want to interrupt recording.

The Weeknd released his second album, Beauty Behind The Madness, last year and it was an instant success thanks to the hit “Can’t Feel My Face.” He was also nominated for an Oscar for the single “Earned It,” which appeared in Fifty Shades of Grey. The singer is still scheduled to perform at the Hangout Music Fest in Alabama in May.

Rihanna’s tour got off to a bumpy start. She did get Drake to make a surprise appearance at her Miami show on March 15. Travis Scott is her opening act on the U.S. leg.
