Chris Martin covered Prince’s hit “Raspberry Beret” with the help of some talented eighth graders during a benefit concert in Santa Monica, California, over the weekend.

On April 24, the Coldplay frontman performed the song with the group of youngsters called the A-Sides at the Chords 2 Cure benefit show.

Before the song began, Martin joked that the children did not know the famous Prince tune so he told them to ask their grandparents about it.

All of the proceeds from the concert benefit pediatric cancer research. A-Sides member Jaxon Blumenthal, who sings the first verse of “Raspberry Beret,” was diagnosed with pediatric liver cancer when he was 11.

Martin and his bandmates also paid tribute to the late singer by tweeting out a photo of Prince’s artist symbol.
