Demi Lovato has just tackled one of the disco era's biggest hits - and it's all for the Angry Birds movie.

You read that right. On April 14, the singer released a clip of her cover of the 1979 Gloria Gaynor hit, "I Will Survive."  In the clip, she's unexpectedly joined by some feathery friends from the film, which will hit theaters on May 20.

Overall, Lovato's version is quite loyal to the original, which won Gaynor the 1979 Grammy Award for Best Disco Recording, back when that was still a thing.

Lovato isn't the only major artist to record a song for the kids' movie. The Voice coach Blake Shelton recently released a video for a track called "Friends" that features the film's animated characters.
