The box office is once again being led by Disney after The Jungle Book opened with a very impressive debut of $103.5 million. The movie recorded the second largest April opening weekend ever, only behind last year’s Furious 7.

Second place this week went to Barbershop: The Next Cut, which brought in $20.2 million. The fourth film in the series performed lower than expected, but this could be due to the fact that there is a 12-year gap between Barbershop 2: Back in Business and this film, reports Box Office Mojo.

Third place went to last week’s champ The Boss, which collected right around $10 million and the DC Universe continues to see the drop-off of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The iconic superhero clash brought in $9 million this weekend and brought its total domestic sum to $311.3, which is currently second place for the highest-grossing movie of 2016.

Criminal was the other new release this week and it brought in a very low $5.8 million, while Zootopia still remains in the top 5 after over 40 days in theaters. Zootopia has become only the 10th animated film to ever gross over $300 million at the domestic box office.

The Jungle Book looks to continue its reign as box office champion, as the only upcoming film coming out this Friday is The Huntsman: Winter’s War.
