Two huge names in music hit the stage together at the 2016 American Country Music Awards on April 3 for a delightful performance that had the audience up and singing along to country classics.
Pop star Katy Perry took the stage with the legendary Dolly Patron for a performance in which the ladies sang a melody of Parton’s hits including “Coat of Many Colors,” “Jolene” and “9 to 5.”
We reported last month that the divas would be collaborating at this year's ceremony after the 70-year-old Parton teased the news and then confirmed it via her Twitter account.
The performance did not disappoint fans as they came out together in colorful cowgirl attire and sang the old hits.
Prior to the duet, Perry called Parton her “personal hero.” Dolly sang Katy’s praises as well and said that she is “an amazing artist and a beautiful girl.”
