You may have noticed through my various cocktail top 10 lists that I am a fan of Jack Daniel’s. When I was young, I made myself sick on cheap whiskey and vowed never to drink whiskey again. Jack Daniel’s restored my faith that there were good brands out there. It’s smooth and never burns going down.

Anyway, I’ve been slowly sampling Jack Daniel’s flavored whiskeys over the past few months, so when I saw that they had a hot cinnamon version, I was anxious to try it. Now that I have it in my hands, it will be a staple in my liquor cabinet.

Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Fire has a rich cinnamon flavor without being so hot that it burns your tongue. It’s delightfully warm on the way down and can be mixed into a variety of different drinks.

I tried it mixed with Saranac Ginger Beer, which was a mix of spicy and sweet that was delicious. It was also wonderful mixed into hot chocolate, but my favorite way to drink it is just straight over ice. It has a residual sweetness that makes it great for sipping after dinner. Who needs dessert?

If you’re a fan of flavored whiskeys or cinnamon liqueur, you can’t go wrong with Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Fire. It’s a mix of sweet and spicy that will please your taste buds and your wallet. Give it a try.
