Legendary Pictures has just released a brand new trailer for Warcraft.
The latest footage made its debut exclusively on Facebook, and it gives off a bit more of an action vibe than the previous trailers, which were focused on the fantasy element of the production. We get glimpses into some of the movie's climatic battle sequences, as well as a closer look at the human characters involved.
Directed by Duncan Jones (Source Code), Warcraft is a battle between species as humans come face-to-face with orcs, who are forced to flee their dying world to find a new home. It's based on the massively popular series of video games from Blizzard Entertainment, the most successful being World of Warcraft. The project was initially announced all the way back in 2006, when Blizzard and Legendary struck a deal to produce the film together.
The movie will finally be released this summer after facing several delays. It was originally slated for a December 2015 release, but Legendary pushed it back in order to avoid competition with Star Wars: The Force Awakens, as we previously reported. The studio later delayed it a second time, pushing the film back three months.
Warcraft stars Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Ben Foster, Dominic Cooper and Toby Kebbell. It hits theaters on June 10.
