Former MSNBC anchor Melissa Harris-Perry has a new gig as editor-at-large for Elle.com.
Elle announced the news in a letter from editorial director Leah Chernikoff, who said that Harris-Perry would be focusing on race, gender, politics and fashion by sharing the stories of minority women across Elle's many platforms including web and social media.
"The collaboration builds on Harris-Perry's experience as professor and founding director of the Anna Julia Cooper Center at Wake Forest University, an interdisciplinary center that supports and generates innovative research around gender and race in pursuit of a national dialogue and positive outcomes," Chernikoff said in the letter.
Harris-Perry also discussed her move to Elle in a series of tweets.
Harris-Perry has already hit the ground running by publishing an op-ed piece about HBO's new movie Confirmation.
