Peaches & Petals is a unique subscription service that hand-curates boxes catered to “the woman who’s not afraid of adventure.” They mail out beauty, fashion and lifestyle items from cosmetics to accessories and home goods. It’s always a real variety of things that you didn’t know you needed but absolutely love just the same.

Peaches & Petals is an affordably-priced subscription to begin with, but they’ve also generously agreed to give our readers a coupon for 50 percent off their first month. You’ll be leaping to sign up for this quirky box after reading this unboxing review for their March “Color” themed shipment.

At the top of this article, you’ll see the box this shipment was packaged in. The box was actually inside a plastic mailing sleeve to further protect it. The inside was prettily packaged in spring bird tissue paper. Everything was padded well, so nothing broke in its travels.

The first two things in the package were a coloring book entitled Everyone Loves Coloring Flowers and a tube of 12 colored pencils with a sharpener built into the lid. I love coloring. I never quit after childhood and was pleased when the rest of the adult world finally caught on to this amazing stress relief. The pictures in the book range from simple to intricate and the pencils draw smoothly. I will definitely use this book and the pencils are a perfect travel size.

Next in the box were a spoon and mug set and a colorful bath bomb. The mug is cute, reminding us all to be our strange selves with its quip, “Be a fruit loop in a world full of cheerios.” The bath bomb smells of grapefruit and lemongrass and I can’t wait to take a long, luxurious soak with it.

The next item in the package is a box of Eye Majic instant eye shadow. An interesting idea, it’s three shades of eyeshadow built into an applicator that you just wipe across your eye for a quick blended look. There’s four applicators in all, enough for 2 full applications. The colors are tame enough for work, but pretty enough for a night out, as well.

Lastly, according to the card insert, I was supposed to get one “colorful surprise” item. I ended up with two! Hooray for extra gifts! I received a Pretty in Pink power bank charger for my phone and a reusable fabric wine bag in a teal design. The power bank didn’t come with instructions, but most people know how to use them these days. I charged it last night, which took a few hours, and just tried hooking it up to my cell. It appears to be working. The wine bag will come in handy for carrying wine to friends’ homes or even to give as a housewarming gift with a bottle inside.

Overall, this was a fun box to open. Each month is a real surprise, which is great. The packaging was pretty and padded and the items were worth the cost of the subscription. Sign up now to receive April’s box. The theme is “April Showers” and a sneak peek card showed a 5-in-1 facial cleansing brush as one of its goodies.

The box is normally $19.99 per month with shipping included, but Peaches & Petals is offering 5o percent off your first box with the code PEACHCAFE good till April 15. Try it out today!
