It’s that time of year again for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. This year’s ceremony will air on Saturday, April 30, on HBO and include tributes to late rockers Prince, David Bowie and Glenn Frey of The Eagles.
The 2016 inductee performers are Cheap Trick, Chicago, Deep Purple, N.W.A. and Steve Miller. Some of music’s biggest names including Kendrick Lamar, The Black Keys, Rob Thomas, Lars Ulrich, Kid Rock and Stevie Van Zandt are also set to make appearances.
According to a press release, the ceremony will begin with a tribute to Bowie courtesy of The Roots, David Byrne and Kimbra. Frye will then be remembered with a duet from Sheryl Crow and Grace Potter. The Hall of Fame will also honor Prince, who suddenly passed away at his estate in Minnesota on April 21.
If you can’t catch all the action this Saturday don’t worry, HBO will be re-airing the ceremony several times throughout the month of May. It will also be available for customers on HBO NOW, HBO GO and HBO On Demand.
