Bill Cosby has been ordered to stand trial after he waved his right to a formal arraignment.
According to the Associated Press, Cosby attended a preliminary hearing in Pennsylvania on May 24 in the only criminal case that has been brought against him after dozens of accusations of molestation broke out over the past year.
He was arrested on Dec. 30 in the case against him for a 2004 alleged sexual assault in which Andrea Constand said she was impaired and did not consent.
Cosby has countered that it was consensual and he was never told to stop, despite the fact he had given her pills he claimed were herbal.
Originally, Cosby had a scheduled arraignment for July 20, but he waved his right to a formal plea.
If convicted, Cosby faces up to 10 years in prison. While this is his only criminal charge, he also has other lawsuits for defamation, insurance and sexual assault. In one of his cases, his wife, Camille Cosby, was ordered to give a deposition.
