Conservative political radio host Glenn Beck has been suspended by SiriusXM after he had a guest on his show who advocated harming Donald Trump.

The Wrap noted that writer Brad Thor was a guest on the radio program last week and talked about how citizens could get Trump out of office if he is elected. For this hypothetical, Thor said that Congress would not be able to get the real estate mogul out of office through impeachment and that it would be up to citizens to go the illegal route to have him removed.

Thor’s comments led many listeners to believe that he was saying the only way Trump could be taken out of office would be if someone assassinated him.

SiriusXM announced Tuesday that Beck would be suspended for one week and released the following statement:

“SiriusXM encourages a diversity of discourse and opinion on our talk programs. However, comments recently made by a guest on the independently produced Glenn Beck Program, in the company’s judgment, may be reasonably construed by some to have been advocating harm against an individual currently running for office, which SiriusXM cannot and will not condone,” the statement read. “For that reason, The Glenn Beck Program is suspended from our Patriot channel for the coming week. SiriusXM is committed to a spirited, robust, yet responsible political conversation and believes this action reflects those values.”
