A Missouri high school student channeled her inner Beyoncé Knowles-Carter for her prom dress.

St. Louis high school senior India Ross decided to model her dress after the dress Queen Bey wore to the 2015 Met Gala. When we say she nailed it, she nailed EVERYTHING right down to the sky-high ponytail and sexy poses.

Ross has become Instagram famous for her creativity and has received media attention from her hometown all the way to the United Kingdom. As with anyone who thinks outside the box, Ms. Ross did receive some hate from her dress. According to Cosmopolitan, some commenters said her dress looked "cheap" and it wasn't as sheer as Bey's famously nearly naked dress.

Ross had this to say to her haters: "The fact that people think I let ignorance ruin me, let's make this clear, I do not think I'm Beyoncé but she's my inspiration. I think somebody is confused on an inspiration. Just because she has on a #Givenchy dress [doesn't] mean [I'm] supposed to have a million dollar dress on. I still look so god damn fine in my Walmart, eBay, Michaels, cheap looking #givenchy dress ???????????? #islay I sure hell did a good job. Give credit when due #crownus #blackmagic And you're never [going to] find a pony NAILED as mine #prom2k16 please save all your negative comments off my page ????."

We are not mad at you India, we are not mad at all.
