Jamie Bell, the star of Turn and The Adventures of Tintin, has reportedly met with a Bond producer about replacing Daniel Craig.
Talks have taken place between Bell and Barbara Broccoli, a producer on every Bond movie since The Living Daylights starring Timothy Dalton, according to Deadline.
Bell was born in England, where he took up ballet and earned the role of Billy Elliot in Stephen Daldry's Oscar-nominated movie. Since then, he got the lead in the Steven Spielberg motion-capture animation The Adventures of Tintin and appeared in Jane Eyre and Snowpiercer. Last year, he played Ben Grimm aka The Thing in Fantastic Four.
Bell currently stars on Turn: Washington's Spies, which is airing its third season now on AMC.
This news comes a week after Daniel Craig reportedly turned down about $100 million to return for two more Bond movies and Broccoli was seen with Skyfall and Spectre director Sam Mendes with Tom Hiddleston in a club in London.
Spectre, the last Bond film released, came out at the end of 2015 and starred Craig in his fourth outing as the spy. Despite less than enthusiastic reviews, Spectre grossed over $880.6 million worldwide, which currently makes it the 42nd highest-grossing film of all time.
Could Bell be the replacement? How funny would it be if Evan Rachel Wood's boyfriend in the "Wake Me Up When September Ends" music video is the next James Bond?
