Warner Bros. has just released the final trailer for their new Ryan Gosling/Russell Crowe comedy, The Nice Guys.
The latest trailer premiered via the studio's official YouTube page a few weeks ahead of the May 20 debut. It might be the funniest of the movie's ads so far and it includes a few new beats like a body inadvertently being dropped right into a crowded party scene. Several other familiar sequences are expanded upon, such as the bathroom confrontation that featured prominently in the previous trailers.
In The Nice Guys, Ryan Gosling plays a private detective hired by Russell Crowe's character, Jackson Healy, to track down a missing girl named Amelia. The situation spirals out of control when they uncover a massive criminal conspiracy. It's directed by Shane Black, who's no stranger to action comedies; he's known for films like Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Iron Man 3 and he also wrote the screenplay for the 1987 classic Lethal Weapon.
The movie was originally scheduled for a June 17 release, but Warner Bros. decided to move it up a full month, according to Deadline.
That June 17 date will now be occupied by Central Intelligence, the studio's second action comedy of the year, which stars Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart.
The Nice Guys now opens on May 20.
