Following a report from Irish authorities that Sinead O’Connor was allegedly threatening to jump off a bridge in Chicago, the singer has resurfaced and explained why she is actually very happy now.

Chicago law enforcement officials were told to be on the lookout for O’Connor after Dublin police claimed that she called them and said “I’m on a bridge in Chicago and I’m going to jump.”

O’Connor had posted about suicide via social media in the past and was even reported missing before returning from a bike ride outside of The Windy City last month. However, as People noted, the “Nothing Compares 2 U” songstress debunked the suicide reports in a Facebook post Friday morning.

"It's bulls**t I jumped off a bridge," the 49-year-old wrote. "Some stupid b***h up at Swords Garda station [an Irish police station] decided she'd like to throw a bit of false and malicious gossip about is all. AM FAR TOO F-----G HAPPY FOR THAT."

O’Connor continued to state that the reason for her happiness is due to Britain’s decision to leave the European Union.

"IRELAND IS OFFICIALLY NO LONGER OWNED BY BRITAIN!!!!" the Irish-born artist wrote. "CONGRATS TO EVERY MAN, WOMAN AND CHILD WHO EVER DIED FOR THE CAUSE OF IRISH FREEDOM, AND ALSO TO ALL THOSE INCLUDING MYSELF, WHO HAVE BEEN PERSECUTED MERCILESSLY BY THE IRISH SO CALLED FREE-STATE FOR HAVING DECLARED SUPPORT FOR SINN FÉIN AND THE REPUBLICAN MOVEMENT."

She concluded her post with "OUR DAY HAS COME!!!!!!!"

After the Brexit vote, U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron announced his resignation.
